Privacy Policy

Overview
This website only collects the data needed to deliver its pages. The site itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools, and it has no accounts or forms.
Hosting and Cloudflare
The site runs on a server I operate myself. It is served through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which acts as a reverse proxy and provides standard DDoS protection. Every request therefore passes through Cloudflare's network first, and Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to deliver the site and block attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Data transfers to the USA rely on Cloudflare's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare may set technical security cookies, for example if it shows you a verification challenge. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Server logs
When you visit this site, my web server logs technical information about the request: your IP address (as passed on by Cloudflare), the time, the requested URL, the response status and your browser's user agent. This is needed to deliver the site, keep it secure and defend against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Logs are deleted after 14 days and are not combined with other data or shared with third parties.
Browser storage
Your browser stores two small items, both only on your device and never sent to the server:
theme(local storage): your light/dark choice, saved when you use the theme button.site-data(session storage): a copy of the navigation data so pages load faster. It disappears when you close the tab.
Both are strictly necessary for the feature you asked for, so no consent is required.
Third-party content
The home page shows a contributor badge loaded from AbuseIPDB. Loading it sends your IP address and browser information to AbuseIPDB, which is subject to their own privacy policy. Everything else, including fonts and icons, is served from this site.
Links to other sites (GitHub, the Forgejo instance at git.fortunevale.de and others) only transfer data once you follow them. Those sites have their own policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and complain to your data protection supervisory authority. Because logs are deleted after 14 days and are not linked to a person, a request is most useful if you tell me your IP address and the time of your visit.
